My name is Ciara (pronounced Kee-rah). I'm a native of Carlow Ireland, and after some bouncing around Europe landed on the shores of America in 2004 and made a home away from home in Warrenville, Illinois with my husband Kevin. I have always loved being creative and my parents seen that in me at a very young age and so they encouraged me to follow my heart into design and illustration. After my daughter was born in 2006, I began to look for children's Irish language learning books that included English translations so I could teach my daughter the Irish language while teaching her about her Irish heritage. After failing to find what I wanted I decided to illustrate my own books and called them "Elie's Books" after my daughter.

Here's a few things you might like to know:
I go by Ciara Panacchia and Ciara Ní Dhuinn. Panacchia is my married name and Ní Dhuinn is my Irish maiden name. I know easy right?
I grew up in a Bed and Breakfast that my parents own…I miss it there. Thankfully Facebook helps close the distance..
I can be found most days lost in music.
My daughter is my fountain of youth and source of inspiration.
I’m a ’sometime’ beader and have an etsy store.
I don’t drink Guinness.

Thank you for stopping into my little world of design.
