Quirky cups and unicorns.

I've been working on the GTS assignment for the past 2 weeks. A range of prep went through. Mood boards, sketches, panic and stress eating all while trying not to compare myself to the wonderful talent out there.

I wanted to do something fun but connected. I've always loved getting a plate large enough for desert and my tea so that's what I leaned into. I created a cup and saucer, a desert plate, fork and napkin.

Below are some of the sketches that went into it. I thought it would be fun to have a theme of plates and cups. A unicorn for magical story, boat for a travel story, a heart for love.

Some plate exploration for added measure.

And so it was all done.

Children's book — Vicuña's

This months class was a bit of a challenge. Not because I don't like picture books, in fact I buy them for myself sometimes, not my daughter. My wish list on Amazon is extensive. I had hit a wall. So I started just sketching and being happy with the elements, but time, work and stress were a challenge too.

My goal for this month is too try and draw everyday if not every weekend.

I enjoy exploring colors, I have sketches of the different angles just didn't have time to finish the 3/4 and frontal views that is required when developing characters.

I am a hermit...

Albeit a creative hermit. This project was part of MATS Bootcamp, run by artist and rep Lilla Rogers. I took the project in a different direction or at least my own interpretation of it.

Show own of hands for creative hermits and introverts.

maybe it's because I work in an open space environment that I crave escape more now than ever. Show of hands for the introverts.

Making the visual as a card and exploring a pattern on the back.

If printed I'd add a gold foil finish to the edges.
